Rope manufacturer stretches out to new facility

Rope termination innovation and expanded manufactur-ing capabilities are the current focuses of Moly-Cop Ropes, the rope making subsidiary of the international mining and materials company Arrium (formerly OneSteel). These ropes are composed of wire strands. Engineers Australia talked to sales and marketing manager Brad Reed and technical superintendent Andrew Morgan about Moly-Cop Ropes' new $5.5 million manufacturing facility and its work on the product that makes the facility vital to the company's future.
