ALEXIE SELLER: LIGHTING UP THE WORLD

Alexie Seller is celebrating. The 28-year-old recently won $10,000 grant money at the Young Social Pioneers (YSP) event held by the Foundation for Young Australians. Seller is national manager for Australia at Pollinate Energy, the Australian company set up in 2012 to sell solar-powered lamps to the slums of urban India. Her goal in entering the competition was to gain the funding needed to expand the Bangalore operation and make it a sustainable business. The prize money has already been put into use helping to bring on the sales people or 'Pollinators' at the Bangalore branch of Pollinate Energy.
