摘要

Presents a new method of designing a multivariable self-tuning regulator for a load frequency control system with the inclusion of interaction of voltage on load demand. The self-tuning controller through speed governor control and excitation control is derived by defining a cost function with a term for presenting the constraints on the control effort, and then by minimising it with respect to the control vector. The proposed method is applied to a two-area power system provided with nonreheat turbines in which the interaction of voltage deviation on load demand is considered, and the control effects of this regulator are examined using digital simulation.
