The Global Equipment Market Now Is A Hot Horse Race

The many faces of the new global economy—the good, the bad and the ugly—made an appearance earlier this month at the largest construction event of the year, the CONEXPO-CON/AGG equipment show in Las Vegas. Most everyone got the message that international expansion brings new social responsibilities and much work has yet to be done before the world is truly a place of free trade. But the trade show at times seemed more like a giant horse race, with new contenders and old jockeying for position and using any available tools to unseat long-time favorites in the market place.
