The City of Los Angeles has partnered with architect Pugh + Scarpa and developer REthink for planning of the Barranca Lofts, a transit-oriented development next to the Gold Line and the Livable Places mixed-income green development in the Lincoln Heights area of Los Angeles. The project will consist of a mix of 200 live-work and standard lofts units. Design is under way and construction is to start in 2009. Pugh + Scarpa, 2525 Michigan Ave., Building F1, Santa Monica 90404; REthink Development, 4262 Lincoln Ave., Culver City 90232. Design is under way by The ADP Group on Metro Marquee, a two-building, mixed-use project planned for downtown Bradenton. The project consists of 47,000 sq ft of office space, 137 residential units, and 44,000 sq ft of retail space, including a grocery store, restaurant and 532 parking spaces. The three-phase project is estimated to cost $100 million.
