Zero Injuries in 'Shock & Awe' Scaffold Project

System scaffolding was used by Atlantic Scaffolding, Inc., a member of The Brock Group, on a recently completed massive scaffolding project at the new Contemporary Suites Hotel, in Orlando. From the onset, members of the Atlantic team knew the proposed scaffolding requirements would be substantial and would make this scaffold the largest ever erected in Florida.rnThe scaffold, erected entirely using Pin Lock System scaffolding, required 821 miles of scaffold tube, measured 190 ft high at its peak and 2,200 linear ft around the exterior of the Contemporary Suites. It consisted of 28 fully planked levels with two 150-ft high system stair towers and numerous caged ladder access points. In a statement about the project, James Ligon, architect of record, from Glover Smith Bode Inc., speaks highly of this significant accomplishment: "The finest scaffold I have ever seen."
