We have been closely monitoring the impact the economic slowdown is having on our industry, and, to date, we have not seen a significant decline in new projects. While there have been individual incidents of projects being delayed or cancelled, it is much less pronounced than what we experienced during the recession of 2002. This is due to the fact that infrastructure funding is more diverse than ever and the infrastructure money contained in the federal stimulus package has given states and municipalities additional confidence to move forward with their projects, not to mention that infrastructure improvement is badly needed and the expenditures assist in alleviating the recession. Nevertheless, the current operating environment serves as a good reminder that we must continually improve the efficiency of delivering construction projects and programs.
