Newsmakers Will Be Honored At Awards Gala

Congratulations to the Top 25 Newsmakers of 2008. Each year, I marvel at the high quality of the innovations and achievements we celebrate. This year we are recognizing advances in engineering, excellence in project management, pioneers in education and training, and new technologies put to work in the industry. Each of the Top 25 Newsmakers is profiled, in this issue, starting on p. 40. The newsmakers awards program has no forms to fill out or submissions to prepare. The newsmakers are nominated by the editors of ENR from the stories that have been written during the past year-in our print issues, on ENR.com and in any of ENR's editorial supplements. The editors vigorously debate the merits of the candidates, and the winners are chosen based on their service to the industry and to the public.
