Mobility Creates New Opportunities for Construction Field Management

Balfour Beatty Construction's U.S.-based field personnel have swapped clipboards full of checklists, blueprints and paper documents for iPads and field software. Balfour Beatty Construction, part of London-based Balfour Beatty pic, recently initiated a company-wide, phased rollout of iPads equipped with Vela Systems construction field management software for all U.S.-based projects. On every project, field personnel use the iPads to leverage the features of Vela Field Management to complete quality oversight, drive commissioning and improve safety.
