CALIFORNIA The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians are planning to build a 150-room hotel adjacent to the Viejas Casino, in Alpine. The project comprises a seven-story, 70,000-sq-ft building, which will house a business center, fitness room and swimming pool; also, the buffet seating area will be expanded. It is being designed by Marnell Architecture, and Swinerton Builders has been selected as the general contractor. Construction is expected to begin early next year and be completed in early 2013.
