Consequently, there are more bid protests and closer scrutiny of bid packages. This heightened scrutiny is taking place not only in federal procurement, but also at the state and local level. With competition so high, contractors must make sure they fully comply with prequalification criteria and the solicitation, including the nuances that are sometimes found from one state to the next on public procurement.
