North American Dismantling Demolishes Consumers Energy Plant

North American Dismantling (NADC) was contracted to complete the demolition of Units 1 and 2 primary and secondary existing electrostatic precipitators, ID fans, ductwork and steel at Consumers Energy Company's D.E. Karn Plant in Essexville, Mich. This project consisted of removing the structures to a maximum height of 125 ft-o in. above grade, totaling 120,000 sq ft built of structural steel framing which supported various pieces of equipment, hoppers, penthouses and other miscellaneous materials.
