But there's a lot more to the Incheon Grand Bridge than good looks.The more than 7-mile-long Incheon Grand Bridge in Korea is one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world, with an additional five miles of highway. The bridge was built to withstand hurricane-force winds and a magnitude-7 earthquake. Since ships as large as 100,000 tons can pass under the bridge, innovative dolphin-style buffers serve as a safety feature to protect the base of the bridge from impact.
