The design-build contract for this Hudson Rivercrossing was recently approved by the New York State Thruway Authority. The bridge will be designed for a 100-year service life and will be mass-transit-ready for bus rapid transit on the span, or for commuter or light rail on structures between the two spans. It includes twin 3-mile structures with 1,200-ft cable-stayed main spans.
