North Star Renewable Power is planning to build a 23 -MW renewable powerplant in Wadley. The plant will be fueled by woody biomass and shredded tires. Construction is expected to start before the end of 2013 and be completed in early 2015. Beijing Construction USA has been selected as the general contractor. The project's value has been estimated at $70 million.
