Over the last half decade, we have seen considerable consolidation in both the construction industry and the surety industry that supports it. Now, we are faced with the juxtaposition of the remaining firms on both sides of the equation seeking market share of a very sluggish economic recovery inventory. We have been here before and know that it can get ugly before it gets better.
