Deep Pile Challenges Met With Low-Vibration Solution

The South WWTP project in Baton Rouge, La., required deep foundation support for a new pump station, screening facility and various vaults, piping and tanks in addition to one 6-million-gallon (MG) and three 20-MG concrete equalization tanks. The deep soft clays, the presence of adjacent residential communities, the existing settlement of sensitive structures and a demanding project schedule resulted in a challenging project.
