Superfund Firm in $2.7M Pact For Former Employees' Fraud

Sevenson Environmental Services Inc., a Niagara Falls, N.Y.-based hazardous-waste cleanup contractor, has agreed to repay more than $2.72 million to the U.S. government under federal laws that require an employer to cover the costs of alleged employee misdeeds. The firm claims it was unaware of the rogue project managers' bid-rig and fraud schemes on two federal Superfund projects and is also a victim.
