Keystone Backers Say Project Will Be High on 2015 Hill Agenda

In the wake of a Senate setback, Republican and Democratic lawmakers who support the proposed Keystone XL pipeline extension are vowing to make the $3.3-billion project a priority in the next Congress, which convenes in January. The Senate on Nov. 18 narrowly rejected a bill that would have authorized the TransCanada project to proceed, falling one vote short of the 60 needed to end debate on the measure. The House passed its version of the bill on Nov. 14.
