Building Kansas City's Water Quality Legacy With Green Solutions

Like many cities across the nation, Kansas City, Mo. faces critical challenges in the control of wastewater overflows, which directly impact regional water resources. To meet this challenge, Kansas City has adopted a 25-year Overflow Control Program (OCP). The program's nearly $5-billion investment represents the largest infrastructure investment in the city's history, and is the first in the nation to incorporate green solutions as part of a federal consent decree.
