Contractor Saves 100 Labor Hours by Exporting Bids to Accounting

The importance of data sharing between critical business solutions used on a project cannot be exaggerated, according to James Construction of Baton Rouge, La. Previously, the contractor spent 120 labor hours entering estimates into its accounting system. Today, James Construction uses HCSS HeavyBid, an estimating software that is able to export estimates directly to more than 35 accounting systems, thus streamlining the data transfer workflow. Standard accounting codes set up in HeavyBid are automatically assigned to estimate activities, and cost codes are reviewed and combined for similar activities or multiple occurrences of the same activity.
