Based on the unique challenges of the work and its extensive experience with similar projects, Brandenburg Industrial Service Co. was selected to deconstruct Penn Tower. The structures included a 23-story, 300,000-sq-ft high-rise connected to a five-story, 250,000-sq-ft parking garage located in the economic heart of Philadelphia, with a population of more than 300,000 and adjacent to a major thoroughfare and rail station. Surrounding structures included the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania Health System, and the Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
