As the world population grows, the global construction market is keeping pace to meet the universal demands that accompany an increase of urbanization. "Many of the biggest infrastructure projects in the world are happening outside the United States," says Ben Hamer, director of project services for CH2M. "In Canada, Australia, and several countries in Europe and Asia, policies encourage infrastructure improvements financed by a combination of public and private resources, which is helping to stimulate the construction market."
