The tale of the Foxes and their Stray Cat

Cambridgeshire farmers Geoff and Gillian Fox set sail in 1995 for the Caribbean in a catamaran. Still en route, they are using specially designed energy systems, and have replaced conventional lead acid batteries with light weight nickel cadmium cells. 'stray cat', a 37-foot oceangoing catamaran, has been re-equipped with eco-friendly electrical systems which avoid engine running to charge the batteries.
