Journal of Proteome Research Experiences Strong Growth, Editor-in-Chief Elected as 2008 President of US HUPO

Launched in 2002 by founding editor William S. Hancock, the Journal of Proteome Research (JPR) has firmly established itself as a major contributor to the field over its first 6+ years of publication. Evidenced as much by the growing number of published papers in the journal and the increase to monthly publication, as by a growth in impact factor to 5.675 with a 76% growth in total citations in the 2007 Journal Citation Reports~R, JPR is poised for a bright future of making significant contributions to thefield.
