The retrofit and upgrade of the lowes NY Hotel

This article describes the upgrade carried out on a 38-year-old hotel in midtown Manhattan, New York City. It follows the se- lection, design, construction, and startup of the improved facil- ity and provides useful guidelines for the upgrade of similar facilities. It describes the energy related improvements and controls in- corporated in to the design which will allow the facility to continue to provide outstanding services and comfort to the guests while reducing the cost of operation.
