3D modeling of the thermal effluents disper-sion from power plants in the Xiangshan Bay

摘要

Three-dimensional numerical experiments were conducted to evaluate the dispersion of thermal effluents, in which wetting and drying approach was involved. Choosing the Xiangshan Bay as a typical region with large tidal flats, we compared 15 schemes and showed that the established model can be used to simulate the shapes of elevated temperature envelope with satisfactory results, and that the cooling tower method has less environmental effect than the direct emission mode does. From the numerical experiments, it was recommended that the cooling tower method be adopted in the coastal power plants.
