Regulation measures of tidal current sediment at river estuary and its engineering application

摘要

Many of the river estuaries in China are covered with silt mud and powdery sand. Sand brought by runoff flow and sand from the ocean easily accumulates around the estuary which has a bad influence on the capacity of flood passage. Therefore, research on regulation measures of the estuary region is of profound theoretical significance and has great engineering application value. Applying numerical analysis method and adopting the advanced MIKE21 software, the numerical model of Majia estuary region is established and simulation results show the deficiency of the discharge capacity of current river course. The regular regulation measures such as dredging and sluice building are made, and based on the study of the shape of the estuary, bank excavation is proposed. Simulation results show that bank excavation can remarkably reduce sediment accumulation and increase discharge capacity, and is recommended. And physical model experiment is done to verify the effectiveness of bank excavation plan. The research result can provide certain theoretical basis for the regulation of similar estuary region.
