A low carbon economy evaluation about the major cities of China based on multivariate statistical model

摘要

Low-carbon economy is a compound system composed by the economic system, technological systems, social systems, and environmental systems. In order to comprehensively reflect the efficiency and effectiveness about the low-carbon economy of urban development, the comprehensive evaluation index system about urban low-carbon economy is constructed by city's economic systems, technological systems, social systems, and environmental systems. Factor analysis is used to extract the index system, and four common factors are obtained to measure low-carbon economic development, which are named the factor of social life, the factor of pollution control, the factor of industrial structure and the factor of green environment. In order to reflect the development gap of the city's low-carbon economy, based on the factor scores, K-means cluster analysis is used to divide is major cities of China into four categories. Finally, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for problems of low-carbon economy in the urban development of different categories.
