Active chimney device for small combustion installation

摘要

In this paper a novel approach for small combustion installation heating control is presented. A control device is designed in such a way that it can be easily mounted on existing installations. The device uses draught as a control variable. Beside increased comfort, the application of the device makes it possible to significantly prolong the burning phase. As such, it is especially well suited for small scale stoves which use wood logs. The tests have shown that by installing the device we do not only achieve a prolonged burning phase, but an increased efficiency and much lower paniculate matter emissions as well.
