摘要

An alternate approach to conventional flue gas emission remediation, using well established cryogenic principles, is described. The design focuses on the following design objectives: low energy consumption, full heat recovery, complete water removal, high recovery efficiency and capture of NO_x, SO_x and CO_2 es commercial grade NO_2, SO_2 and CO_2 where needed. Heavy metals may also be extracted. The patented process yields commercial grade feed stock for secondary industries producing acids, fertilizers, polymers, methanol, etc., as well as CO_2 for enhanced oil recovery and sequestration, and lends itself to tow system energy integration. Conversion of the recovered products may be effected on site or off site. The application of the cryogenic process to a coal fired power plant with a CO_2/O_2 combustion cycle, using by-product oxygen from a hydrogen production facility, is described.
