摘要

Graphene has emerged as a promising material for developmental concepts in electronic devices for superior performance. Graphene also offers interesting properties for a variety of energy-related devices such as solar cells, supercapacitors and lithium ion batteries. While progress in synthesis, application and properties of graphene has been previously reviewed, no prior work has focused specifically on energy-related applications. To this end, this review article discusses the major synthesis techniques that have been employed to obtain single-, bi- and few-layer graphene and discusses the subsequent application of these materials in photovoltaic and electrical storage applications.
