2011 APR 27 - (VerticalNews.com) -- According to recent research published in thernjournal Advanced Engineering Materials, "The application of two approaches for highthroughput,rnhigh-resolution X-ray phase contrast tomographic imaging being used at therntomographic microscopy and coherent radiology experiments (TOMCAT) beamline of the SLSrnis discussed and illustrated. Differential phase contrast (DPC) imaging, using a gratingrninterferometer and a phase-stepping technique, is integrated into the beamline environment atrnTOMCAT in terms of the fast acquisition and reconstruction of data and the availability to scanrnsamples within an aqueous environment."
