2011 JUL 6 - (VerticalNews.com) -- According to the authors of recent researchrnfrom Zanjan, Iran, "The present study investigates the degradation of Acid Red 14 (AR 14),rncommonly used as a textile dye, in aqueous medium through the process of thermally activatedrnoxidation by peroxydisulfate under a set of variables (concentration of 2 S2O8-, AR 14, Ag+rnand temperature). Degradation efficiency was small when the oxidation was carried out in thernabsence of heat."
