Ericsson To Upgrade Telekom Austria Networks

Telekom Austria, which has operations in a number of Central andnEastern Europe markets, has selected Swedish vendor Ericsson for annupgrade to its 2G and 3G networks, and the provision of LTE infrastructurenin its Austrian and Croatian operations. The roll-out is alreadynunder way and is an extension of the existing relationship between thenoperator and vendor. BMI believes the decision to invest in networknupgrades, and particularly an integrated approach for legacy networksnand LTE, is a sound strategic move, given Telekom Austria's positionnas a leading mobile broadband provider.
