ER-Telecom Continues Expansion

Russian cable operator ER-Telecom announced the launch of ncommercial services in the cities of Tver and Rostov-on-Don. The nexpansion is the latest part of its strategy that has seen the opera-ntor introduce services in an additional 14 cities so far in 2011. It nhas experienced rapid growth in subscriber numbers and revenues nas its expansion strategy has enabled it to capitalise on increasing ndemand for high-end broadband and pay-TV services. BMI be-nlieves its expansion has given the operator a strong foundation for nmedium-term growth and that its geographic coverage could make nit a valuable acquisition target, particularly for one of the ‘big three’ nmobile operators.
