No New 3G Operator, But BMI Still Sees Potential

The sale of a fourth 3G licence in Bulgaria has been cancelled for nthe second time due to a lack of interest from bidders. The tender nwas scheduled for December 7 but no bids were received by the nNovember 14 deadline. BMI is unsurprised by this development as ngrowth in Bulgaria’s mobile market has slowed signifcantly now nthe market has passed 100% penetration. We expect the frequen-ncies, however, will appeal to other investors already present in the nBulgarian telecoms market.
