The government of Kyrgyzstan has included its 90.35 % stake inrnnational operator Kyrgyztelecom on a list of state property thatrnwill not be privatised, according to local sources. This confirms arnsimilar draft resolution proposed by the head of the State PropertyrnFund Aybek Osmonaliyev in March 2013. The official reason providedrnwas that privatisation of the company could result in a risernin prices for the fixed-line services. BMI identifies multiple risks facing the company as well as the state and feels that the financialrnuncertainty facing both could force the government's hand into arnsale in the next two years.
