A report by the Moldovan telecoms regulator, the NationalnRegulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and InformationnTechnology (ANRCETI), revealed revenues generatednby local operators from sales in electronic communications grewn4% y-o-y to MDL1.527bn (US$121.4mn) in Q113. The rise wasnmainly driven by an increase in the number of service users in allnfive markets (mobile, fixed telephony, mobile broadband, fixedntelephony, fixed internet and data transmission, broadcasting)nand sales volumes in mobile telephony, mobile broadband, fixedninternet and data transmission markets. Revenues from mobilentelephony grew 4.4% y-o-y to MDL802.9mn (US$63.8mn) in thensame period. Data transmission revenues and mobile broadbandnrevenues also rose 21% y-o-y and 29.9% y-o-y to MDL226.6mnn(US$18.01mn) and MDL66.8mn (US$5.3mn) respectively.
