In May, Alphabet, more commonly known as Google,rnannounced two new partnerships with Volvo Cars and Audi tornco-develop new operating systems for theirin-car infotainmentrnsystems. The carmakers are exploring the option of replacingrnthe in-house software platforms that underpin theirrninfotainment systems with Google's Android platform, which isrnalready the basis for the operating system of millions ofrnsmartphones, tablets and televisions globally.
