The review board came with an EasyCPS Click module (photo 1) soI decided to write a little program to use it. From mE's website I downloaded the EasyCPS demo code, but it turned out to be for their SmartGPS board as well as targeted at a PIC18F4520 on an EasyPIC6 board (issue corrected since). This meant that I had to change the target MCU (in the Project Settings window accessible from the View menu), enable the PLL x 4 fuse bit (Project -> Edit Project) and adapt the definitions of the graphical LCD interface (copied from another example). This made the program work on the EasyPIC v7 with graphical LCD (CLCD), except for the serial input.
