摘要

In this paper experiences gathered during creating a simulation program for delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters are presented. The delta-sigma modulator, the main part of the converter, is characterized by chaotic dynamics (deterministic chaos). There is no theory that allows to foresee behaviour of the higher-order delta-sigma modulator (in general cas), so empirical studying of the modulators is the necessity. The specialized simulator, called ``Amber'', which is described in the paper, is available on author's WWW page (with source code written in C++). The results of exemplary simulations are depicted also, showing main advantages and disadvantages of presented program. Because the user interface is maximally simplified. The simulator can be compiled under different operating systems (UNIX, WINDOWS and DOS). The simulator can be useful in teaching △∑ converters. The simulator may be compiled.
