摘要

One way to visually express the radiation and scatter- ing phenomena of electromagnetic waves is to draw the electromagnetic energy flux density lines. Using a graphi- cal representation of the streamline, this paper attempts to understand scattering by a semi-infinite perfectly conduct- ing half-plane by means of the Poynting vector, the apparent incident Poynting vector, and the circular polarized elec- tromagnetic energy flux density. Further, the streamlines are drawn for the incident and scattered waves defined on the Riemann plane in addition to the conventional incident and scattered waves.
