摘要

The main problem of an indoor infrared(IR)wireless system via diffuse infrared link is bit error rate(BER) performance degradation due to inntersymbol interference (ISI)induced by multipath distortion. In the previous study, only a rectangular pulse was employed as a transmitted pulse. However, multipath distortion tends to make the nondirected diffuse indoor IR channel have a low-pass frequency characteristic, and thus a rectangular pulse, whose spectrum has a form of sinc function, induces much ISI.
