Using a single-turn conductor with a ferrite core rather than a multi-turn conductor wound on a powdered-iron to-roid core the PA1894NL and PA2080NL are presented as the industry's first through-hole power-bead inductors forrndesktop architectures. The construction enables a 2% to 3% increase in V_(CORE) voltage regulator efficiency, a 35% to 55% reduction in inductor footprint, and the industry's tightest DCR tolerance (±4%).
