Tiny comparators maximize space and power savings

At a mere 1 × 1 mm, the MAX9060 to MAX9065 comparators are offered as the smallest of their kind while consuming only 380 nA of quiescent current at 5.5 V. Operating from a wide 0.9 to 5.5-V power-supply range, the parts are particularly useful for low-battery conditions in portable equipment. The MAX9060/MAX9061 feature open-drain outputs and draw their supply current (350 nA max) from an external 0.9 to 5.5-V reference voltage. The MAX9062/ MAX9063/MAX9064 offer either a push-pull or an open-drain output, consume only 1.1 μA max at 5.5 V, and include a 0.2-V internal reference.
