Coilcraft has released a low-loss power inductor that ensures superior current handling of up to 41 A with soft saturation characteristics to withstand high-current spikes. The XEL60xx family of high-current inductors employs a new design that offers dc resistance (DCR) as low as 1.35 mΩ. That, and the inductor's small form factor, make it highly suitable for compact dc/dc converters. The XEL60xx family of power inductors measure 6.56 x 6.36 mm with a maximum height of 3.1 mm.
