The problem of ensuring the reliability of relay protection and automation devices of electrical power systems is considered.The possibilities of increasing the reliability of analog relay protection and automation devices are examined. Microprocessor relay protection and automation devices provide considerable opportunities for reducing the work required in technical maintenance for the same achieved of reliability.
