摘要

A general method of calculating the breakdown voltage for designing high-voltage equipment is described. The mathematical model of the breakdown voltage in gas has an accuracy of as high as 2-3%, which is commensurable with that of a well-staged experiment, and enables the electrical insulation of apparatuses to be comprehensively studied. The method has been verified in the N_2/CO_2 gas mixture, in CCl_2 and SF_6 gases, and in air.
