Cellulose Insulation in Oil-Filled Power Transformers: Part II - Maintaining Insulation Integrity and Life

In Part I an overview of cellulosic insulation in transformers was given with emphasis on the historical development and improvements (see Jan./Feb. issue, pages 28-35). In Part II we shall examine the practical aspects of the usage of such material in transformers with regard to maintaining the integrity over long periods of time and preserving and extending insulation life. The factors that relate to loss of life will be examined. Life plots will be discussed in more detail.
